Laser Hair Removal FAQ
Is laser hair removal permanent?
~ Laser hair removal gives you around 80 - 95% reduction of unwanted hairs. After each session you will see a reduction in that area. The hairs become baby fine and soft. Once the hair is gone hormonal changes may occur in some cases such as pregnancy or menopause that might start up new hair growth.
How many sessions does it take and is it painful?
~ It usually takes around six to ten sessions to get the desired results that you are looking for. Everyone is different on how many sessions due to their hair color, the hair texture, skin color, and the area that they are having done.
~ There is not a lot of pain when having laser hair removal. The machines that we use feel like your being sprayed with freezing cold air. For some people who might be very sensitive the most you will feel can be equated to a small rubber-band pop. Also, it just depends on the area your having done too.
What do I need to do to prepare for my session?
~ We always tell our clients to have a small stubble when coming in for a session. So you will need to shave or trim that area a few days before your appointment. Also, if you are having the area of your face done we ask that all makeup from that area be removed. The same goes for deodorant. We understand that most clients are coming from work and have no problem removing it here if necessary.
Does it work on all hair colors?
~ Laser hair removal machines are all geared toward dark course hair. The machines are not able to pick up the pigments in blond, gray, white, or even in red hairs. The most successful results are clients with dark hair and light skin.
